Subhadra Shakti Mela 2026 in Bargarh empowers women entrepreneurs through SHGs, cultural showcase, and aml Communications’ strategic digital outreach
The Subhadra Shakti Mela 2026, held at RMC Field (Goru Market), Bargarh, from 17–23 February 2026, was a vibrant celebration of women entrepreneurship, cultural heritage, and community engagement. Organised by the Mission Shakti Department, Government of Odisha, in collaboration with the District Administration, Bargarh, the Mela provided a dynamic platform for Self Help Groups (SHGs) from across Odisha to showcase their products, strengthen livelihoods, and expand market linkages. With over 150 SHG stalls featuring Sambalpuri handlooms, terracotta crafts, Sabai grass products, organic pulses, and forest-based produce, the event attracted a remarkable footfall of approximately 1.5 lakh visitors over seven days, reflecting widespread public enthusiasm and support. Outstanding SHGs across categories were recognized for agricultural and non-agricultural sales, innovative initiatives, attractive packaging, effective labeling, quality customer service, and overall stall excellence, motivating women entrepreneurs and reinforcing their journey from collective savings groups to enterprise leaders. Cultural evenings, folk performances, and celebrity appearances added a festive vibrancy, drawing community participation and creating a memorable experience for all attendees.
As the official Communication Partner of the event, aml Communications relished the opportunity to support the mela, contributing to its outreach and documentation while also gaining valuable insights throughout the process. Supporting the event through a 360-degree communication approach— from pre-event promotion through teaser videos, countdown creatives, daily agenda cards, celebrity highlight visuals, call-to-action creatives, text-with-photo posts and awareness campaigns, to real-time on-ground coverage of all seven days—allowed aml to help amplify the voices, efforts, and achievements that defined the Mela. The diverse mix of video, design, and digital content served not only as a means of engagement but also as a way to thoughtfully capture and share the spirit of the event with a wider audience.
This multi-format storytelling effectively highlighted SHG products, women entrepreneurs, cultural performances, public engagement, and Odisha’s cultural heritage ensuring maximum visibility and impact across digital platforms by providing an accessible, engaging, and informative digital record. aml’s contribution focused on content planning, creative production, and meticulous documentation, enabling the mela’s efforts and achievements to reach all stakeholders. This collaborative approach ensured that the Mela was not only successfully executed but also recorded and shared in a manner that reflects its long-term significance. The project reflects aml’s continuing commitment to strategic storytelling and integrated communication, helping create meaningful digital footprints for flagship events. By combining strategic planning, efficient execution, and impactful digital outreach, aml Communications continues to set benchmarks in delivering integrated communication solutions, ensuring that every milestone is documented, shared, and celebrated with clarity, consistency, and creativity.
